Learning Resource Centre
The Learning Resource Centre is available for students of all ages across the Academy. Students can use the centre for independent study, group work, reading, research or completing homework. A vast amount of resources can also be borrowed throughout the year.
The centre contains a SFEL section, using the many reference books Mr. Skeech has brought together for Year 7 students to access at break time, lunchtime or even after school. Reference sections are also been developed covering subjects such as Art, English, Science, PE, Maths, History, Geography, ICT and Business.
On Monday evening after school Mr Powell holds the Reading Club in the centre between 3pm and 4pm; refreshments are available and new members are most welcome. Writing club also with Mr Powell is held every Tuesday evening after school between 3pm and 4pm; again new members are always welcome.
The Learning Resource Centre is open every day from 8am to 9.45am, 12.15pm to 12.50pm and 2.40pm to 3.40pm and is available to all students. Our friendly staff are always available to help with any of your study needs.
