Technology

The Technology Faculty covers a wide range of Vocational Subject areas.  Students have the opportunity to choose to complete a Level 2 BTEC or GCSE course in a single year in either  Year 9, 10 or 11.  These courses include Construction, Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics and Hospitality & Catering.  For those who want to specialise a bit more students can opt for longer NVQ courses at both level 1 & 2 in Hospitality and Catering alongside Hair and Beauty.  In all courses the students are encouraged to train and develop their skills in a work based environment which is ideal in preparing them for the world of work or further training at College, University or as an apprentice. 

 All courses are supported by our East Middlesbrough Enterprise Centre, which houses some of the best facilities of any school or academy in the country.  All subject areas have highly trained staff who continually assess and moderate the progress of all students in order to help them achieve the very best they can.  Students succeeding have regularly continued to train at college with some students able to gain apprenticeships with top organisations such as British Nuclear Fuels and Crathorne Hall.  You will find further information on each area if you click the subject tab.
